My weight loss testimony begins when I became a mom for the first time. I developed gestational diabetes during my first pregnancy and after giving birth, sustained weight loss was difficult. Although I lost a lot of my pre-pregnancy weight due to breast-feeding...once I stopped, that's when I began to really gain weight. The rollercoaster ride began...and so does my weight loss testimony.
A turn for the worse
My second pregnancy came soon after and once again, I developed gestational diabetes...I gained weight, of course, from my pregnancy....I lost a lot of it after giving birth...then it went up again after I stopped breastfeeding....then I went on a diet and lost it...then I gained again...
Low Fat...and lots more sugar!
I was deep into my 30's by now, and I was exercising but about this time, the low-fat craze started. Sugar was my downfall and that's what replaced the fat in all those low fat foods!
By my late 30's, I was FAT! Our family had undergone a lot of stressful moves and hard decisions. I found out that
stress can make you fat!
I finally lost hope.
It's at this point in my weight loss testimony that I discovered healthy living.
I realized that it is not about a number on the scale or a clothes size. It's about making the right choices, putting the right nutrition in your mouth and being physically active.
A Need for Nutrition
Unfortunately, years of unhealthy eating and a sedentary lifestyle had started a cycle of poor nutrition that causes cravings, blood sugar problems and lack of energy.

If your body doesn't get the vitamins and minerals it needs, it begins to run out of energy and your body's systems don't work correctly.
My weight loss testimony continues. Advocare products started me on my journey of wellness. But I did reach a point where it just stopped working for me and the caffeine that is in the MNS formula was starting to affect me in a negative way so I had to stop taking it.
But I did discover the right combination and amount of nutrients can help me maintain a healthy weight. Once I found out what was missing in my diet, I was able to control my appetite better and have the energy I needed to live an active life.
