 Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her. verse 28-29They call her blessed and praise her because of the fruit that results when she accomplishes her purpose�to Love! Love is the central motivator. It is the reason she works as hard as she works.
In the book, �Captivating�, the author Staci Eldridge says that when God created woman, she was the �grand finale� of His creation. My understanding is thatwhen God made woman, He created a creature that is closest to His heart because of the way she loves passionately and the way she demonstrates her love; through her care for her family.

Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. verse 29-30A Proverb 31 woman knows the importance of being spiritually healthy because she fears the Lord. Fear in this case, according to Vine�s Expository dictionary, means �not a mere fear of His power and righteous retribution, but a wholesome dread of displeasing Him; a �fear��which influences the disposition and attitude of one whose circumstances are guided by trust in God, through the indwelling spirit of God��.
A spiritually healthy woman will trust God and communicate with Him on a regular basis to make sure she is on the right path of pleasing Him. There is no pride involved; she is humble and she knows from where her help comes from, it comes from the Lord. (Psalm 121:1-2) Her spiritual health depends on regular prayer and spending time in the Word; aka reading the Bible. If she is faithful in developing her relationship with the Lord, there is nothing she can�t do�her family will truly rise up and call her blessed!
She girds her loins with strength and makes her arms strong. verse 17Armed with the favor of the Lord, the Proverb 31 woman can tackle any task that is put before her. She takes care of herself physically because she knows she must be strong to complete the purpose God has for her. But she must always be on her guard to protect herself from the enemy because he will use any tool he can to make her fail.
She protects that which is vulnerable - her purity and her physical and emotional health. She cannot do her �job� if she is not feeling well. Any health problem that causes pain, including being overweight, is an obstacle to accomplishing her purpose.
A Proverbs 31 woman takes care of her body and mind because she knows how quickly problems in these areas can cause depression and in turn, cause her to be focused on herself and not on the task at hand.
Strength and dignity are her clothing; and she laughs at the time to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. verse 25-26The Proverb 31 woman is a mom with a great attitude and sense of humor�a well-balanced mom. She knows that negative emotions like jealousy, hatred, bitterness, envy, strife and gossiping are the tools of the enemy. Remember that she has the fear of the Lord! Why would she want to leave that covering and protection, and make herself vulnerable to the enemy?
That�s why she keeps her mouth shut unless she has something good to say. She knows that the moment she says something unkind, she is opening the door to the enemy. It�s really true what your mother told you; �if you can�t say something nice, don�t say anything at all.�
A Proverb 31 woman is multi-faceted. Out of her healthy mind, body and spirit, she is able to accomplish so much!
